BETHEL BAPTIST CHURCH
After the service, we invite you to join us for a time of snacks and fellowship. We believe worship is more than just music and preaching. Fellowship is one way we endeavor to “encourage one another” in our Christian walk (Acts 2:42-47, Hebrews 10:24-25).
Children are welcome in the worship service. In fact, it is encouraged. We believe it is the parents’ duty to train their children to participate in corporate worship which includes worshiping through song, tithing, prayer, and actively listening as the Word of God is taught. (Deut. 31:12-13, Ezra 10:1, Matt. 18:1-5, 19:13-15, Eph. 6:1-4, Col. 3:20). You may hear cooing babies or small voices during the gathering. These times are a great opportunity to rejoice “for to such belongs the Kingdom of God” (Mark 10:14) and are an opportunity to ‘bear with one another’ (Col 3:13). If at any time you feel that your child might be a distraction to others and needs more of your attention, you are welcome to take them to the library, which is right off of the foyer, or to the nursery which is at the far end of the hall. Both rooms have video and audio feed for your convenience.
We conclude our services on the first Sunday of the month by taking the Lord’s Supper. While we do practice open communion (non-members are welcome), we do ask that the elements only be taken by professing believers who are in good standing with their local church (Acts 2:43-47, 1 Corinthians 11:23-24).
Since we believe that the Bible is God’s word and is our final authority in all matters of faith and practice, we practice systematic exposition in our preaching ministry. Our music is chosen not based upon style or personal preference; rather it is prayerfully selected based upon the text of Scripture that is being expounded during the gathering (Acts 2:42-47, Colossians 3:16).
Our weekend gathering is held on Sunday morning beginning at 10:00 a.m. Immediately following the service is a church wide snack and fellowship time.
On the second and fourth Sunday evening of the month, Bethel has a corporate prayer time beginning at 7:00 p.m. Bethel households are also encouraged to participate in home worship and/or other ministry projects. It is our goal to equip and train households to study and worship as a family at home in addition to weekly corporate study and worship.
We are located at 212 N. 21st Street in Ord, Nebraska.

Dress is casual. Dress to your comfort level but we do ask that your dress is modest and not distracting.

Our music is chosen not based upon style or personal preference. Rather it is prayerfully selected based upon the text of Scripture that is being expounded upon that day. With that said, our music is usually a blend of contemporary songs, choruses, and hymns.
In an effort to connect church and home, men and households are active participants throughout the service.
Yes! Sadly, most families wave "goodbye" when they get out of the car to go to church and tell each other "hello" when they get back in the car after church. We are "pro-family" in practice. Children & young adults (teens) are encouraged to worship with their family or the family with whom they are a guest at our church gathering on Sundays at 10:00am.
Yes, we are part of the Baptist General Conference, recently renamed Converge. Converge is a movement of churches working together to strengthen existing churches and plant new churches as well.
